“They” as in Bloggers. You know the ones I’m talking about. The ones you always see on social media and publishing blog posts on a daily basis.

How do they do it?

It Simply Amazes Me! How Do They Do it All?

Most of these Bloggers have a family, a job, and other priorities yet they continue to have an online presence!

Do you ever wonder why they can do it but you can’t?

Do you ever think, “I must be doing something wrong?”

Do You Ever Wonder How They Do It All?

Let me tell you a bit about myself and then maybe you can tell me why I can’t do it too!

  • I have a full-time job as an Administrative Assistant. That is by title only as my position requires much more than just an “assistant”.
  • I’m married.
  • I’m a furmom to two very needy pit bull mixes that keep me on my toes daily.
  • I am a glorified homemaker.

Well hell, that’s not a lot. Right?

A day in my life

My morning begins prior to 5 am. I need at least 30 minutes in the morning of laying in bed, scanning social media on my phone, listening to the local news, and cuddling with my furkids.

Then the morning begins by tending to the furkids. This takes about another 30 minutes. I prepare their breakfast and make sure they get ample potty time outside. This generally resorts to me heading out into my backyard in my robe with a water bottle in my hand rounding up the kids to come inside.

Then for morning treats and ear cleanings. Yes, my bullies have allergies and get ear infections. Next, they get about 10 minutes to rough-house prior to me getting in the shower. Have you ever seen an adult chasing their dogs around the house naked in the morning? Yeah, it’s not such a pretty site.

While in the shower, I try to think about my day ahead.

By the way, this is one of my best times to brainstorm blogging strategies.

The next 30 minutes are spent on getting myself ready for a day at the office and making sure the furkids have ample time outside to potty, bark, be nosey, and chase whatever stumbles into the yard beyond the chain-link fence.

Shew! Are ya with me?

My work day

My work routine is never the same. There are routine tasks that need to be done but it’s the unexpected things that pop up that can be a real pain in the bum. However, I’m not complaining. At least I have a job and a paycheck to rely on, right?

I try to take time during my work day to keep in touch on social media. Thank goodness for smartphones! I also check in on my breaks and lunch time. I just can’t stay away! There is always something we have to do as bloggers!

Through in my Virtual Assisting business and I am up to my eyeballs in computer work!

Do you ever wonder How they do it all?

My evening begins

First things first. Furkids are a priority as always. I come home and out into the fenced yard to have potty breaks. This is a good time for me to hang out with them in the yard and rub up on them. The hubs usually comes home within 15-20 minutes of me and is immediate wanting dinner.

Hold up there buddy! Let me get the kids taking care of!

Dinner is generally something quick during the week. Who has time to prepare a full-course meal? In my household, because we start our mornings so early, we are early to bed. The hubs is usually asleep by 8 pm, which leaves me laying in bed watching tv, letting the kids out one more time for potty breaks, and then off to dreamland for me.

Only to repeat the whole kit and kaboodle the next morning.

Wait! I didn’t even mention blogging!

Oh yeah, in between dinner and early to bed, I try to squeeze in my blogging and social media. If the kids are acting up that means less time for me in my virtual world. We have priorities, right?

I want to be a Super #Blogger too! But how? Where am I going wrong?Click To Tweet

Do you see what I’m talking about?

How do all these other bloggers manage all they do in a day when I can barely squeeze out one blog post a week?

I’d love to hear your thoughts. Do you have suggestions for me? How do you do it?

By the way, this post was inspired by my friend, Ryan Biddulph of Blogging in Paradise and his most recent post Is Your Blog Missing TheseRyan really touched on what I’ve been wanting to do on my blog but was afraid to because it is a business site. I highly recommend you give it a read and take him up on his advice.

Thanks, Ryan!
